Square and cube root functions:

Two quick videos. First one is on how to draw square root functions. A common mistake is to think that the solutions to the graph of x^(1/2) is f(x)=+√x and -√x. That would give two f(x) values for each x value and the graph wouldn't be a function. The video shows that there is a separate function for x^(1/2) and -x^(1/2). The other one just shows the graph of x^(1/3). Check out the whole calculus playlist here.
