What is Electrical Conductance
This tutorial introduces conductance. Conductance is the reciprocal of resistance, and has units of Siemens. It’s a measure of how easy current can flow through something. In a voltage divider circuit (series resistors), the conductance of the overall circuit is lower than the conductance of any of the individual resistors. In a current divider circuit (parallel resistors) the conductance of the overall circuit is higher than the conductance of any of the individual resistors.
